We offer private, in-home training to clients throughout Rhode Island. We do not have a physical location, as we service clients directly from their homes. Our normal service area includes West Warwick, Warwick, Cranston, East Greenwich, North Kingstown, South Kingstown & Exeter. However, we can make longer trips outside of these areas if needed!
When we offer group training classes, these take place at the RISPCA at 155 Plan Way, Warwick, RI 02886.

We believe training should be fun for both owners and their pups! So you can expect a positive experience for both ends of the leash. Our methods are backed by science, so there is no need to use fear or intimidation to get your pup responding the way they need to.

Group classes can be a great option if your dog is relatively comfortable around other dogs and you are looking for more cost-effective training. If your dog becomes highly stressed in social settings or is severely reactive, private training is a better fit!
-
Absolutely! We love helping clients by starting your training at a level your dog can handle and moving up from there. Depending on your dog's comfortability, we also provide opportunities to work with our own “demo dog” so you can practice with another, predictable dog! If you would like to see some of our training in action, check out some of our social media pages!

Leash reactivity can be an extremely stressful (and sometimes embarrassing) situation for the common dog owner. Even the friendliest of dogs seem to turn into beasts when they spot certain triggers like people, other dogs, wildlife, cars, skateboards, bikers etc. This tends to be caused by your dog feeling overwhelmed, not necessarily aggressive! Although scary, this behavior is very common and completely fixable! We have worked with countless clients to help their dogs feel calm in these situations so they can enjoy more walks and adventures together!

Dog training is an unregulated industry, meaning any person can claim to be an “expert” in the field. Taylor’s experience comes from 7 years of training exotic species alongside mentors at multiple accredited zoos/aquariums. These species included dolphins, sea lions, beluga whales, girafees & elephants!
So how does this relate to dog training? It was all done using positive reinforcement methods, so no shortcuts that give the illusion of success. After a career working with exotics, Taylor became a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP) to better hone these skills into the realm of dog training. She is also knowledge assessed under the Certified Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Although she has been training dogs for 9 years, these certifications are optional. They prove our dedication to using the most up to date, effective training methods as continuing education is a requirement.

Private training gives us the opportunity to tackle behaviors where they matter the most, which is your dog’s day to day life. This is especially helpful for cases of jumping, over-exuberance, barking, leash walking and reactivity. Although our training covers a plethora of topics, we understand that your dog has to be able to perform these behaviors out in the real world and not just in a controlled room!
-
Absolutely not! We accept and have success with dogs of all breeds, ages and lifestyles.

Most clients tend to see meaningful change after 4-6 weeks. Not all dogs are the same, so we will work together to come up with a plan that fits your specific needs and lifestyle. Good training takes dedication and patience!

When you purchase a program from us, you are not just investing in a few weeks of training, but the entire lifetime of your pup. Our training is built on teaching you and your dog on being a team so you can handle any situation life may throw at you!

Although we don’t possess magic wands, all of our clients receive comprehensive training plans that are specifically designed for you & and your dog to achieve success. These plans may include what changes need to be made to your dog's environment, what training exercises to practice (& how often), as well as 24/7 text/email support to answer any questions you may have.
